Well it's nice that he didn't lose an arm this time but if his ability covered the crossbow shouldn't that have taken care of the damage too? I feel like he's just getting smacked around for Salem's sake ^ ^ Thanks for the chapter At least he is still playing with dirt :)

I'll also say it's a little weird how little the generals and other important people interact once they show up and are accounted for in the text. It seems like Farentine should confirm with the healers that they're also ready before giving the go-ahead.

I really enjoyed this version. It felt like adults who take knowledge seriously would approach a situation and do actual testing with some measure of rationality
