The habits to help remember their humanity reminds me of something I think I read once about AI - actual artificial intelligence, not LLMs. Basically even if we create something that is effectively a silicon human brain, it will immediately diverge from human values and thoughts because it lacks human experiences, like having to stop what you're doing to eat or go to the bathroom or sleep.
