Don't really require the files on there. Just to support you.

At the moment nah, but i'm hearing about kickstarter's drip service coming soon as a competitor, if they're international it's a promising place to migrate to if things get bad on here o,O;; I looked into ko-fi too but I may be only able to post sfw preview there oxo
Patrone
Can't afford to support with any small pledges on here anymore. Do you have anything else set up?
Matt Jones
Yup, I gave a little to a lot of people, and unfortunately with the changes it would have ended up costing me a lot more. I just feel bad for the creators I am no longer supporting.

Yes. Make money. That's what Patreon is FOR. It's not a charity, and they are losing money. They just had to take another investment round to stay afloat... running high volume sites like this, particularly with the very high fraud rates and chargebacks they have to deal with, adds up to them losing money. Now they'll lose 3% less. Oh, and a bit more than a quarter.

I dropped support from some people who I supported for the sake of supporting, now it's just down to who's content I love and consume. It's kind of sad really but not unexpected, feels like they are still trying to find the best ways to make money etc.
lunch meat
Patreon is a pile of shit company

Ugh >.> I don't like it but I'm not giving up my support!
Ohhhh

Yikes! I might have to drop a paid post a month to try and even out things from my end oxO;
Tokifuji
I know! these are changes they want to implement on the 18th of this month oxO;

It takes effect on the 18th

What this basically means (those of you in the Discord already saw) is that if you currently support 25 creators for $1/mo that would cost you $25. As of the 18th, supporting 25 creators for $1/mo would cost you $34.50, that's $9.50 in fees. Kinda shitty
I paid already?
