Wait what’s happening?? Sales Tax???

Every reading of it I see, as it pertains in this situation, is that *I* pay $1, *I* receive one creation in exchange. The creation is worth $1. I will now have to pay $1.07; the extra $.07 being the cumulative sales tax for where I live.
