What happened about Nintendo!
🕑 Added 2023-09-18 15:09:09 +0000 UTCHello guys, I hope you are having a good start to the week, I am writing to you so you know why I removed the Zelda and Pokemon characters from my patreon, on Friday the 15th I received a DMCA suspension warning from Nintend0, where they alleged that I I was using their property and demanded to delete the newest drawing of Zelda, for this reason I decided to delete it, and from now on I will not draw anything that has to do with Nintendo, today the suspension was lifted because I complied with everything they asked of me, but Patreon was very clear, no policy violations or I could lose my account, for this reason I will not draw anything that has to do with Nintendo, I hope you understand, I'm glad to be back and there are still thousands of characters to draw, have a great week.

For that reason I prefer not to sound like a victim, surely Nintend0 has its reasons, so the best thing I can do is step away and continue drawing for everyone safely.

Corporate greed is a helluva thing. Condemn one person for creating ART (that isn’t even the exact same since you add on your own style to them) when thousands of others do it on a DAILY basis but don’t get any punishment or threats. Only the ones that they think are profiting from their character designs do. Probably also jealous because you can make the characters 10x more appealing (SFW and NSFW). Happy to see you aren’t letting it get you down and wanting to move on from Patreon though. Have a good night! 🙂

Fan art law only protects you if you aren't charging money. The minute you are making money off of it, you are no longer protected by "fan art".

I doubt it was actually Nintendo. Probably another one of those fake DMCAs that happen to creators everywhere every once in a while. It's a Patreon problem for sure since they are the ones that don't do their due diligence. Similar to how in Youtube anyone can just pretty much copyright strike videos. What a shame, those were my favorite ones too bah.

It feels horrible to delete so many drawings that I spent a lot of time on, but I don't want to play the victim, Nintendo has its reasons, and I prefer to be someone serious and decent and stay away.
