I hate that I kinda agreed with Lud here that the weakness is a performance as the character of “Clark”. The problem is that this Clark (the one that pretends to be weak and unimpressive) hasn’t really been present in most modern iterations. Cavill and Corenswet both portray Clark as nerdy (although Cavill can’t really act well), but still being physically imposing, since they’re farm boys. Smallville does the same. So modern interpretations of Clark are just nerdy buff guys, which, I mean yeah. Would.

As someone who’s read a decent amount of superman, Ludwig is without a doubt, 110%, unequivocally wrong. Clark is strong enough to not need to ‘be superman’ in his personal life, he doesn’t have that ego. In fact I’d say Ludwig could never be Clark, because he always wants to be Ludwig from video games, and never Ludwig from humanity. Clark is 100% the better choice, if Clark wasn’t who he is, Superman wouldn’t exist. It’s Clark Kent’s humanity that makes Superman the hero he is.

On the Superman argument; Superman's Secret Identity isn't Clark Kent, Clark Kent's Secret Identity is Superman. In most of the comics he is always the Soft, goofy, loveable, kind Farmboy who sees the good in everyone and doesn't think twice about saving people so he MADE the Superman Persona to protect the people he loved and allow himself to Show Humanity that they can be better, not through superpowers but by The will to Keep saving people and inspiring them to live their lives as the Heroes that everyday people are. Clark Values ALL Life because he was raised as an ordinary innocent Farmboy that, most of the time, didn't know he was an alien until his Teens. Superman Is the persona that he puts on to Embody his own value of "Hope" so that he can inspire the same people who inspire him everyday. Batman is the opposite (not that anyone asked) as The night that Bruce Wayne's Parents were killed was the night "Batman" was born. It's been developed over the comics and reiterated several times that During the events of Crime Alley, the trauma Caused Batman to be born, an internal metamorphosis that cracked Bruce's psyche until it finalized into The Batman. You can consider Batman as sort of a second personality but is also Fused with Bruce Wayne's personality like conjoined twins or something (weird analogy but it helps me picture it). Batman is the Dominant Side that is in control 90% of the time, Bruce Wayne is the Personality that Saves Children and shows them kindness while he Haunts the dreams of the Terrified Criminals of Gotham, The 'playboy persona' is more of an act that Batman does that's 'Called' Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne is the kindness And warmth that Batman shows, and Batman is the Dark Knight that Seeks to protect Gotham and help it to save itself
