The after show is really insightful - i can relate to Nick and Slimes uncertainty of what is a puzzle to solve and what is just info gathering as one would in the real world. They're picking it up though and the after show discussions will help going forward. I will say Ludwig is a true gamer, he gets it

I get what Nick is going through, but I think he just needs be more open to that D&D is more about storytelling than it is about "winning the game". While there is an idea of how the story will progress, good DM's like B. Dave will adapt to player decisions and help "steer" them if they start going in the "wrong" direction (Even though there isn't really a wrong direction). Some of the best games/stories I've watched and played came from having to improvise based on an unexpected decision. I notice it tends to happen a lot with anyone who plays video games regularly since you are trying to solve puzzles and beat bosses to progress the story. However, with D&D the story will progress regardless whether that be a good or bad thing.

what if the site of the bomb that went off and ended the war was not only the place where the demons were coming from but also sort of their home? and then Lyco as a place was founded to cover up the portal and that heinous act which is why the apothecary is now poisoning the nation with the plague because the construction of the country displaced all of the demons who lived through the end of the war. would play into the crossroads and the demons not actually being as evil as we thought as well🤔(nerd emoji)
