I used to work in a bank, and the mexican green card one kinda resonated with me. It was soul-sucking work, and I knew how the bank made money and preyed on people with what they could. It was hard, but eventually I found that even though I work for a shitty company that is overcharging people or having sneaky shitty loans, I could help people that really need it to understand these systems and manage their money or manage their debt, even if the company themselves is causing the problem. You can and are making a difference in people's lives by connecting to them. It might not always seem that way, and some people might talk to you as if you are the company, but good people working in these places is important, ESPECIALLY when its the literal government and they cant just not use their service
