Sounds like similar to when they introduced T20 for cricket. 20 overs only day games that have cash bonuses for big hits to bring in the punters (before that the most watched version was One Day Internationals which were 50 over games). It must be hard for baseball purists because at least in cricket we still get Test games (5 day matches) and can enjoy the longer more nuanced version of the game as well.

Gotta leave my two cents about dota. As a dota player I rarely encounter toxicity. Not to say there isnt toxicity. In NA there is definetly just plain racism against Peruvian players which sucks to have. But I would say as a whole when you hear someone complain about toxicity in dota it's usually a self report that they are also toxic. If you come at the game with kindness I find almost everyone will reciprocate it. If you get passive aggressive with people about their lack of skill then you get attitude in return.

I feel like MOBAs definitely are just more toxic because on games like Valorant or CS2 the toxicity is infrequent and not intense where as games like DOTA and Deadlock have people getting into genuine shouting matches and calling each other the most disgusting things..

its funny that aiden's solution is to show real name. when xbox 360 had it figured out 15 years ago. you simply rated players based on friendliness, helpfulness, toxicity, etc and you would get like a green smile or a red frown as your rating. then simply queue green smiles together and red frowns together. so if youre chill you get grouped with other chill people. and if you suck, you get grouped with other sucky people. and eventually you delete your acc and start over and decide to be a better person so you dont have to queue with asshole constantly.

Aimengaimen, the mk7 tuning scene is insane, it's one of the most highly supported platforms in terms of newer euro cars, along with everything else using mqb platform, it's pretty cool. Not sure if you have a gti or golf but legit, drop in an is38+supporting mods and get an off-the-shelf tune or something and you're at 350-400 hp, although probably not legal in California. I drive a base mk7 golf, stage 1 software alone with no supporting mods makes it as quick as a gti, there's so much potential. This has been my special interest since 7th grade thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Pinch runners fully replace that person for the remaining duration of the game so it’s more a last ditch effort to get a run. As such it’s risky because if they don’t get the run to win the game you’re now down a hitter who might otherwise be able to get on base and have replaced him with a guy who’s fast only beneficial IF he gets on base.
