Addressing Recent Patreon Drama

We have seen a few comments that are very concerning to us. It seems a couple people joined this Patreon in hopes of seeing gore, which is absolutely not what this page is for.
A couple of people had hoped to see the dead baby in our last video, which is not something we would ever show.
If you somehow mistakenly joined for gore, please let us know so we can refund you and remove your subscription to our Patreon, as this is not what our page is for.
EDIT: Refunds are now closed. We are no longer giving refunds since we gave ample notice.
On the other side of things, some people misconstrued our Patreon plug in the latest video as saying you could pay money to see photos of the dead baby in our last video.
Again, absolutely not what we are going to be showing here, and a small segment of viewers are totally misunderstanding the purpose of this Patreon page.
We (understandably) receive many complaints from viewers about how we have to censor basic words like "abuse", "rape", and more, and blur standard crime scene photos that are similar to ones shown on television without any issues, which is what prompted us to create this page.
We literally cannot even breach the topic of child abuse on YouTube without being demonetized. With a team of our size, we can't afford to produce demonetized content. This means we have to cut out huge amounts of analysis that discuss these issues, including warning signs and how to keep yourself and your family safe. This is, again, something we want to be able to include here on Patreon.
Our Patreon is for being able to post videos without having to censor words like "abuse", "rape", and more, show crime scene photos without the blood having to be blurred and grayed out, include portions that discuss more graphic details that can't be included on YouTube without the video being demonetized - but are still of interest to viewers - and more.
So, what is "less censored" in the Deasia video? Thank you to tales of insomnia for pointing it all out:
- 28:07 blood on sheets
- 33:56 blood on drawer
- 34:19 blood on sink
- 36:20 blood
- 36:27 blood dripping from the counter - pictures of knife aren't color inverted
Those were the photos that, in the comment above, Justine was convinced were photos of a dead baby. Just blood stains. You can see far more on daytime television - i.e. Forensic Files and The First 48.
As we go, we can add more to the "less censored" versions of the videos, adding in more details that had to be cut out for YouTube. However, with the current number of Patrons, it is not cost effective for our team to be pulled to Patreon content, so we are planning on expanding as Patreon grows.
In addition, a couple of people have also complained about the frequency of posts on here and our frequency of interactions with Patrons.
The truth is, our team is incredibly busy, and this is just a side project where we can provide you extra content that we think you would find interesting and a community where you can interact with likeminded individuals.

Thank you for your censorship here. My daughter is a Psych major and her professor directed his class to your content because of how you all really dissect the mental aspects of everyone which then got me addicted and here I am. My daughter and I enjoy learning about the cases and then discussing them and relating them back to her studies in school. Thank you so much for all your work AND for limiting the gore to only what is necessary or unavoidable!!!

Also because I’m sure most of us don’t even want to see that image. It was fucked up listening to her describe it…I definitely don’t need a real photo to seer it into my mind for the rest of my life. That’s the shit you’ll see in a nightmares. Some people eh 🤮

Umm…who the fuck wants to see a photo of that?! My word…it’s not ‘cool’, it’s not ‘super awesome dude you get to see dead babies’ on this channel. As far as the extra content, I find it odd to describe it as a side-project so there’s no time…fair enough if what you mean is that you make more by putting it on YT…that’s just logical if that’s the case. I don’t particularly feel like it’s a comment which is fair to address alongside the absolute disgraceful people wanted to see those photos though. I think the content requests are just a fair question and a fair answer but…maybe it’s just me but I wasn’t expecting a reasonable thing to be addressed alongside the disturbing desire some people had to see those graphic images. I dunno, felt a little…I dunno. I guess I think they should be addressed in a separate post, separate from the response to normal people who aren’t here to see horrific gore. Regardless; it shouldn’t need to be said that you absolutely did the correct thing by not showing that kind of thing. There are levels, YouTube is quite frankly pathetic…there’s a YouTube for Kids and yet they treat us all like we are children. Perhaps if they actually vetted their users better to ensure 10 year old kids aren’t on YouTube then they wouldn’t have to censor every single word that a 10 year old would be told-off for saying at school. On the other end of the scale, anyone wanting to see those types of images here on Patreon have an issue to say the least and I hope they’ve left the EWU Crew because that’s some messed up shit.

I saw your YouTube post regarding this subject and it brought me here. I love what you guys do,the content is amazing and I think it’s bringing some good awareness to the issue that is crime like this. I’m glad I can support just a little bit
I’m not sure if someone is out there wanting to see a baby that has had its head severed, shouldn’t be reported for mental health issues. Someone needs to watch them very closely. This is not fake gore that you see in a horror film. It is real. That is what makes the complaints they made very disturbing.

Unfortunately you have to break it down Barney style for some folks. Keep doing what you're doing, and that's providing quality content and analysis. Thank God there's platforms like this where you can share content that dosent have to be censored as much as youtube. Please continue to fight the good fight! I'll be here to back you up!
This is disappointing to see. I don’t see how viewing mutilated humans would add deeper context or Insight to the cases reviewed on this channel. It’s so hard to find the medium between the whimsical documentary format and the smutty gore galleries. You guys are absolute experts at flying us as between those lines. Bringing this content over to a more personal platform like Patreon was such a good move and I would hate for people ruin it for the rest of us that are really here to enlighten and understand these cases in more adult ways. Commenters like this just don’t have a the maturity to dive as deep as some cases covered here.

Why would anyone want that picture in their head? Just the thought is horrible. I was pleased to join your Patreon and support the channel. The expert analysis included is worth the price.
