Arena Questline hints?
🕑 Added 2025-01-16 10:47:08 +0000 UTCSo, the Arena quest near the start of the game, you have to find people in the area around the Arena and talk to them to discover how to defeat each opponent, the barmaid for Conrick the soldier for Edon and the priest for Gant. Do you think I should add indicators above the characters to more clearly show who it is you should talk to, or should I leave it as it currently is with no indication?

As is is good and preferable. If anything should be changed maybe a random chat bubble as they mutter something vaguely relevant to induce the Players into being curious and interacting further. So they stand out as more than random crowd decor

i would recommend to leave it more or less how it is at the moment, but maybe give the other NPCs hints in their dialog, like "i have seen Cornick at the Bar the last Evening", so a 75%/25% filler/hint ratio

I'd say leave it as is, I don't remember having any specific trouble to find out. Too many hints lead to playing in "automatic mode" without thinking and defeats the purpose of an actual game. Back in the day games (specially graphic adventures) had you thinking hard on how to proceed next. Hints were scarce, and we made it, it gives satisfaction on completing quests on your own :)
