Peasant's Quest v0.61 Released (finally)

The new Shakala scene is my most labor intensive/complex scene thus far, and the new gameplay elements required a lot of scripting to get right. So it ended up taking much longer than anticipated, and I started to wonder if it would ever get done. But I finally conquered the beast:-).
So what's new?
- three new maps/locations
- a few new quests
- 70 new images for Shakala and Mia (previously known as Lia. It was a bit too similar to Liandra. So to avoid confusion, I changed her name).
- Shakala can now become pregnant, which triggers the next part of her story. It takes a few days (3) after becoming pregnant, that she notices. So I recommend regular visits and a few potions of fertility.
- a new type of ingredient (Purple mushroom)
- a new special potion to create
- a new combat skill to learn
- a new lighting system. I find it adds a bit more atmosphere to the game. Caves are now almost pitch black, and you receive penalties for fighting in the darkness. So torches are recommended! Can be found, or purchased at the general store.
- changed the way combat damage is calculated, so nearly all creatures can do some damage, even to high level characters
- Minor improvements, grammar corrections and bug fixes. Probably added a few new bugs as well:-/...
Important for players with existing savegames:
The new ingredients (Purple mushrooms) won't spawn automatically until the other resources respawn. You can manually spawn them by clicking the blinking sprite on the large tree in the village.
Transfer your old savegames by copying them to the new savegame folder. This game is only compatible with version 0.41 and above.

Well, when you level up you gain more hp, strength, defense and so on. In addition certain characters can teach you new skills (Gabriel and Bhrute). Generally you get better by increasing levels (gain experience by doing quests and killing monsters).

Okay, I'm a 'newbie' to RPG and to this game but figured the best way to learn was to read what the 'veterans' had written. This is the second time I've seen something about 'combat skills'. Where or how do I learn them?

Damn it! Every time I add a female to the game, someone needs to fuck her. At this rate I'll be an old man before I finish the game:-).
