ROADHOUSE

Eric Janssen

Let's save it for December, and have a Patrick Swayze Christmas. :)

Eric Janssen

Nope, still not at that point yet--I'm still assuming he was a street person even further gone after more traumatic years of ghosting. It can take its toll.

Mark Sylvester

Welcome Alexis!!!

Be Kind

Welcome! 🎉 Wow, lots of nubees today. That’s cool!

Alexis Walters

Anybody today years old when you learned the man from the train was Schizophrenic? Lol I was like wooooooow that makes soooo much sense!

Alexis Walters

I’m new to her Patron too! She’s awesome! I dunno if I cry cuz she cries or bc the movies are sad lol but yaaaas to Dirty Dancing!

Be Kind

Welcome! 🎉

Be Kind

Welcome! 🎉

Kinard Montgomery

Carl TOTALLY got what came to him! After I first saw this movie, years ago, I hated Tony Goldwyn (Carl) in almost every other character he played because of his cringy Carl character. (ABC's Scandal changed that for me,) anyways I've been a subscribed YT fan for a while and just joined your Patreon. You're hilarious. Yes please watch Patrick Sawyze's 👉 Dirty Dancing. 👈 Another you'll love!

Richard LaMance

I forgot how much I liked this movie. Hey I became a patron for ya. Hee. When I send more beans pics it can be Gmail sted of po box

Be Kind

“Slapstickery” 😝 😆

Two Cents Magoo

Just to watch. No need to tape and react to "The Color Purple," although I do have a birthday this year. There are connections in abundance to films and artists we know Ashleigh loves ... it seems a logical choice in terms of progression. On the other hand, you're not wrong about the "laugh a minute" issue for those who follow Miss Ashleigh strictly for comedy as evidenced by 191K views for that riotous cavalcade of slapstickery, "The Excorcist."

Beth O'Brien

Carl got what he deserved for sure. But, now you need to see Dirty Dancing. Love the blue and seeing a happy Beans.

Keri Parmeter

Dirty Dancing FOR SURE

T.J. Gengler

I'll take the Swayze goodness from "Roadhouse" but Sam Elliott is one heck of a lot more than just a side order.

Be Kind

“Molly, you in danger, girl.” 😆

Manuel Johnen

"Roadhouse" is such a terrible, yet hilarious movie... :P

Thomas Yanez

If people are going to suggest "Point Break", then I have to follow up with "Roadhouse" for Swayze goodness.

Elisa H.

It's funny U thought the shadows dragging the people to hell was cheesy because as someone who saw this at like 10-11 years old that image still haunts me to this day, it was slightly traumatizing

Elisa H.

When appropriate I still say "you in danger girl" in that way

Brett Delbridge

Let’s see how many we can get!!

Brett Delbridge

Bueller...?

Brett Delbridge

Ok so yeah looks like the other comments have already said what I was going to say. Patrick Sywayze - Point Break, Dirty Dancing and Red Dawn. Did you know he and Jennifer grey hated each other’s guts! Keanu Reeves is in Point break too, do you know who he is? If not... watch the matrix and John Wick, and maybe Bill and teds excellent adventure. Anyway I digress... Whoopi Goldberg - Jumpin Jack Flash and sister act Demi you could watch GI Jane, she’s also in strip tease but it’s pretty bad. She’s also in A few good men with Tom cruise and that’s a great movie

Ashleigh Burton

Thank you!!

Ashleigh Burton

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ashleigh Burton

😂😂😂😂 devil's ceramics

Two Cents Magoo

After watching the Steel Magnolias reaction, my thoughts turned to Aurora Greenway and Rose Castorini. Ouiser and Clairee have so much more to offer.

Paul Johnson

You are correct...i guess the point I was trying to make is i'm mainly into horror/sci fi/action/slapstick comedy and it definitely doesn't fall into those categories...i guess it's a supernatural love story...that being said i do like some romantic movies i loved "Roman Holiday" with Gregory Peck and the wonderful Audrey Hepburn

Nessa Arandur

I hope so much that Dirty Dancing is on your list next! Patrick Swayze was an amazing actor and a dancer. He also sings one of the songs in Dirty Dancing called "She's Like the Wind".

Tyler Foster

Dead Calm is incredible.

Tyler Foster

I'm sure a ton of other people have mentioned it, but (in addition to Dirty Dancing), if you loved Swayze in this, you have to check out Point Break.

Nessa Arandur

Omg yes. The Colour Purple is an AMAZING movie. Very sad and I bawl my eyes out every time I watch it.

Nessa Arandur

Also “Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight” for Billy Zane/Jada Pinkett goodness. Billy is just the right amount of sexy and terrifying.

primatador

PS - love the blue wall!

primatador

Terms of Endearment is another great tear-jerker.

Rebecca Monk

Truly recommend that you watch "Jumping Jack Flash" - for CLASSIC Whoopi Goldberg comedy. And of course, "Dirty Dancing" for CLASSIC Patrick Swayze. And completely off topic, also hope you add "Moonstruck" to your list. Soooo sooo good!

Edward Olson

Ghost is NOT a romantic comedy.

Ken - Kendo161

Sister Act for a feel good Whoopie Goldberg and the beautiful, Kathy Najimy

Two Cents Magoo

Hold the phone. DEAD CALM is required post-Titanic viewing, yes? Mmmmm, Billy.

Be Kind

It’s a reaction channel, not a comedy channel.

Terri Vineyard

Yes, she did. It must have been all of that NOT looking at Swayze. ;) She was awesome in this movie and fully deserved the Oscar.

Paul Johnson

Great review...I've never been a huge romcom guy but I absolutely loved this movie...pretty sure Whoopi won an Oscar for her performance

Dave Frostdusk

Ashleigh: Am I gonna cry in this movie? Us: Just you wait Baby Girl. Muh Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!

Be Kind

FRIED GREEN TOMATOES (1991) — how could I forget?! Yes, definitely!

Rick Deckard

Yeah that's gonna be laugh a minute content for the channel :D

Mark Sylvester

"You want your last words to be F@*%IN ditto?" Love that line Ashleigh!!!

Dave Frostdusk

Good on you for guessing Carl was behind it. I didn't get that until it was revealed when I first saw it originally in theaters. I was 14 at the time but still.

Susan AKA Maisy13(YT) AKA Susan_is_still_in_progress (threads,IG)

Having a blah day and when I realized I had one of your early uploads to watch, it made my day so much better. So nice of you to drop in on one of Beans videos, she's very gracious to let you watch a movie for us. Hope your day is going well.

Alexis Callagan

You need to watch Dirty Dancing this month

Alexander Fish

If only to see the performance Whoopi SHOULD have won the Oscar for.....

Alexander Fish

This movie was so popular in the day it ran long enough in theaters for me to take three girls to. Not sure if that says much about me though....

Two Cents Magoo

$.02 Fried Green Tomatoes and/or Primary Colors as a bonus. A Bates Tetralogy.

Gio Vidrio

Patrick Swayze once said he wouldn’t do Ghost without Whoopi. Whoopi broke down on camera on The View when she had to announce the day of his death. He left his mark in the EI.

Be Kind

Ahhh, that Beans footage was literally purr-fect. 🐈 Listening to her purr is so relaxing. And the painted wall looks really nice. Has a den kinda feel to it. Liked your shirt too. To avoid comments about the run time, maybe just re-phrase. “It was 2 hrs ... and FELT like it.” Or, “It was a 2-hr movie ... but felt like 4.” Also, I really appreciate that you’ve added, “Would watch again,” or not, in your review. TY 🤓

Be Kind

“Did somebody hear that phone ring? Bc I called it!” Yes, you did, girl! 😎

Be Kind

After the pottery scene ... Ashleigh fanning herself and gulping a nice, cold drink. 😂 I literally laughed out loud!

Be Kind

I second! And I’m hopeful for Dolores Claiborne too. You can rarely go wrong w/Stephen King. Throw Titanic in there, and you’ve got the Kathy Bates trifecta. That woman can ACT! 🎭

Two Cents Magoo

Ashleigh and Hubben must watch The Color Purple. Fight me.

Gio Vidrio

Whoopi won the Oscar the same year Kathy Bates won for Misery. Hopefully before winter is over you may want to check out Misery 1990. Especially since you say you love Kathy.

Marcus

Demi Moore was one of a group of about 8 or 9 actors who emerged in the '80s and were given the nickname of "The Brat Pack". It included all the cast of The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink and St. Elmos Fire, to name a few. This was another movie I really knew you would enjoy. Also, Whoopi Goldberg won the Oscar for best Supporting Actress for this.

Be Kind

Lest we not forget my fav: POINT BREAK (1991). Bonus as an introduction to Keanu. Swayze can sway me, but I’d rather go a mano w/Keanu. 😋

Bill Bevins

This movie is quite the roller coaster ride. The small records you asked about were known as 45s, which is how music singles were released. They were being played in a jukebox. The guy on the train was upset because he committed suicide by jumping in front of a train but wouldn't admit it. That's why he was adamant about being pushed. I knew this movie would get the waterworks going for Ashleigh.

Michael Johnson

Great film but I cried at the ending of you watching it lol.

Be Kind

My thoughts exactly! I wonder if she was thinking of the pottery scene when she wrote that. Also “ ... what this movie is even about is even about ..” 😂

Be Kind

When I first read your comment, I thought of weed and was like, I don’t remember weed in this movie? 😂

Also for the to do list for Patrick Swayze: Dirty Dancing and Road House

Anakin Starkiller

And you have now seen the best pot making scene in Hollywood history

BeastialMoon

"who is hell us" is my new wh tf is this? Phrase

Thomas Ivie

Patrick Swayze is in one of the top 5 SNL sketches of all time along with Chris Farley. You'll get to Chris Farley movies later on. Anyways, check out the sketch: https://youtu.be/stqG2ihMvP0

Anakin Starkiller

Yeah this is definitely a tearjerker

Anakin Starkiller

Lol how ironic MTV is playing this for 24 hours
