Every time I see James Cromwell I have to say "That'll do, pig"
Kenton Kruger
Pretty much in the same boat. When she pointed out at the start it was like three hours it hit me how much of the movie I must have forgotten. Personally I thought it really dragged but watching Ashleigh being so entranced by it made it far more enjoyable.

Anyone have any tips for synching up? The watch-along keeps buffering really bad compared to the movie I'm streaming.

I adore Babe!

I'm so glad that I did the watch along. I think I've seen this movie once but I didn't remember much about it outside of John Coffey's gift and Mr. Jingles. It was a pleasure to rewatch with Ashleigh.

Love L.A. Confidential

Ashleigh is literally all of us when we watched this movie. And not just the first time. But every time.

He also played the lawyer at the beginning of Shawshank.
Kevin Mowery
For a couple of very different performances from James Cromwell, the warden, you can check out Babe, where he plays the kindly farmer, and L.A. Confidential, where he plays a terrifying cop.
Kevin Mowery
And James Cromwell, who plays Hal, the warden, is actually 6'7" tall.

Cassie, the lady in the rocking chair that John says he sees when they take him out is the constellation Cassiopeia. John knows his astronomy.

Harry, the older guard, was played by Jeffrey DeMunn, who has been acting for almost five decades, so you could have seen him in any number of things. But you might remember him from playing Dale on The Walking Dead.
Tim Thompson
He was also great in a one-man role in 'Moon',

Sam Rockwell, who played Wild Bill, is one of my favorite actors. He was Guy in Galaxy Quest and Justin Hammer for Iron Man 2.
Jill Peterson
6 pounds of pressure to rip off an ear. It's a snap.

GINK: a foolish or contemptible person.
In fact, he was only an inch taller than David Morse, the actor who played Brutus. A lot of camera trickery was involved.
Andy H.
Michael Clarke Duncan was a big guy (6'5"), but I believe his size was exaggerated a bit for the movie.
Jill Peterson
I'm so glad you've seen this. I love this movie, and I knew you would be touched by it.
Crystal Wood
I can’t wait to watch it with you!
