The duck at the end is Howard the duck. One of those terrible movies but it’s like part of movie lore and so to get references you must watch it. I wonder if you could watch it on double speed. It might be tolerable at double speed. 😂

Well, now I'm imagining a Howard the Duck movie done in the style of Heavy Metal. One of the failed projects from recent years was an animated Hulu series that got shelved when Marvel's TV studio was brought under the auspices of the movie division.

the writers/director wanted it to be animated iirc but the studio that had the rights to Howard pressured lucas and the rest to get it done sooner so Lucas suggested it could be done live-action. And that helped kill how good the project could have been. completely changed the movie.

If you were to put Footloose on a poll I'd put money on it winning. Not because it's a cinematic masterpiece or anything, but it's just one those touchstone 80s movies everybody remembers. Plus pretty much everybody likes Kevin Bacon.

"Howard the Duck" was a pretty bad movie, but George Lucas thought it was going to be the big thing after he made Star Wars and Indiana Jones. There have been a couple of attempts to bring him into the MCU as his own thing rather than just the occasional cameo, but thus far they haven't panned out.

This is the only MCU movie I've seen and the only thing I remembered was that it had a great soundtrack. I had more fun watching your reaction than I had watching the movie. 😆 So excited to do the watch along for Dirty Dancing! And very happy that Footloose higher on your radar now.
