I'm not sure I like these type of polls. I reckon you should be able to go "1, 2, and 3" or number them all where 1 is your first preference et cetera. AND... then potentially Ashleigh could watch the options either top 3 or all. I put my vote in for Say Anything, because it's one of those "Everyone's seen it" movies that I'm surprised Ashleigh didn't watch on the channel years ago. There are no losers in this list. Goodbye Girl is a true must-see classic. Say Anything gets referenced everywhere. But I've been pimping Only The Lonely for years so I voted for that.

I keep suggesting it, but it loses polls. I suspect that's simply because it's not well-known. It wasn't big at the box office, and many of Ashleigh's followers simply have never seen it or heard of it. I'll say this: the climactic scene pays off all the breadcrumbs dropped previously, and staged so that there's a crescendo to the big moment. It's very well made, and Ashleigh will LOVE it. Maybe it can survive on a loser's poll. Or maybe we need a poll of movies no one's ever seen... It would make MMM a unique channel, doing obscure (but great) movies.

I am still rooting for Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo. I wish I could make it out to be an underdog by saying it is an underrated movie, but it is not: Sight and Sound magazine. Rated it as the best movie of all time. My reason for continually pushing the movie is that I really want to see the look on your face at the big reveal in that movie.

There are so many good ones up there, Ashleigh! 🥰 HAROLD AND MAUDE (1971) is the most unique and the one that will sit with you the longest. THE GOODBYE GIRL (1977) has an actor that you love as one of the leads... written by the remarkable Neil Simon. Once you notice Mr. Simon's style, you'll want to see all his stuff, usually plays adapted into movies, but a few original screenplays. STARMAN (1984) is great, too, and might appeal to the kid in you, it certainly did to young me. The thing that sucks about polls is the best ones might never be chosen, because the best ones are niche.
