Another sad update

While the trip was a sucess and I am super happy to live with Tales of Scale, I did ran into an issue.
Just as I was done cleaning the house (There is still a lot to do but I atleast manage to make the house funtional) I started to get sleepy randomly.
I was sleeping 16 hours a day, taking 5 hour naps at times. It took me a while to pin down but it was my ADHD pills. Aparently, this is a potential side effect. I could barely get work done, in fact, I only did 2 of my YCHs and a couple of doodles.
Seeing how I can't afford to go to the psychiatrist now and I am too new in this state to get medic aid. (I can't even afford to register my car since I haven't been able to work) I can't do the sensible thing of working with a therapist to find the right treatment.
So I had to make a hard choice and decided to just STOP taking the meds cold turkey. You are NOT suppoused to do this because the withdrawals are super hard, but I could not see another option. I stopped about 2 weeks ago and the withdrawals were truly awful. My brain made very little dopamine, just existing felt like a chore. I very nearly avoided deep depression but I feel much better now.
Tales helped me get over the withdrawals, although they are technically not fully gone, they are, however, mild enough now for me to start working again.
The only reason I am telling you this is to explain my lack of art. I was really not expecting this to happen, I really thought the pills would fix everything.

As someone who has been of adhd meds for about 10-12 years it sucks can confirm

It's not a sad update to me. It's just good to hear about anything. Don't too psychologically rely on a magic pill. I know the pill is important and needed, but it is you that matters. Feel relaxed and feel happy for the moment. Life is good, so breath in and enjoy it. I want you to be happy. Thanks

I intend on trying other meds later when I can afford to see a therapist or I get some state medic aid, for now I rather run on default settings XD

the pills do help but they dont work as intended for everyone sadly, if you ever get the time i hope you can find a medication more catered to your adhd. also withdrawal is no joke for some of these medicines 😅 but im sure you know that now.
