I had a similar issue with a different mod some time ago - make sure you have the character model quality set to high in the settings!

Is the mod only in the character menu and dialogues? Ben only appears with the common model during trust events and gameplay for me

Well... For most texture issues, you could try running it again, updating xxmi, or using the 1.4 fix.
