Oh yes! A Development Team with backbone. This is a significant reason why I add my support to Novel's cause. The story and characters are always the core of a novel, the sex is...or rather in my opinion, should be...(unlike so many other VNs nowadays, distinctly peripheral. The important thing for me is that the intimate encounters are neither contrived nor too distracting from the story itself. Also when encountered I always hope, as is mostly the case with Novel, they will be exceptionally well designed, created and presented, and by that I mean; 1) actual sex should be consensual, even if, perhaps, this is initially not emotionally the case. 2) erotic, whether seductively or tempestuously. Of course, absolutely no eroticising of the act of fear-instilling coercion or rape. 3) emotionally intense; sensual, provocative, confrontational or dominant/subservient). Any and all dialogue matters here. and, if possible, 4) ultimately satisfying; primarily for the characters and not primarily the audience. For me, the Novel team has achieved all of these things, so far, immaculately and without compromise, regardless of budgetary concerns or audience "pressure". It is this kind of defiantly uncompromising stance in these days of accepted compromise and willingness, whether reluctant or not, to sacrifice principles for the sake of success or profit to modify and adapt is completely admirable and wholly worth supporting. This may sound "toady" (obsequious), but it's what I believe and something of what I try to stand by in my own life.
