Dev Diary #22 - 0.2.1 Progress

So we're approaching the end of the month and I'd like to thank a lot of you for sticking around, even throughout the reboot. I was expecting numbers to plummet this month, but it seems that we're around the same number of patrons as last month. Of course, this is likely to change soon since a lot of people cancel subs on the last day. Regardless, I'm super grateful that you're all as interested in the project as I am!
I'm hoping to have an update ready for you guys within 2 weeks (probably like 10 days). My goal is to have at least three scenes per update. So far, I've only finished one scene which isn't very lewd. When I first started planning for 0.2.1, I did not expect to take this long for one scene but there is a lot of extra backend stuff that goes on behind-the-scenes which is taking up a lot of time compared to before. The game is VERY easy to break if I mess up, and I always recommend that you use a different save every update (this probably applies to any H-game you play).
That being said, I'm extremely pleased with how the scene turned out and I hope that you can see that it's one of the "better" scenes (even without nudity).
In our previous Patreon Poll, Estelle won and I've been working on scenes for her. I was originally planning to come out with three scenes, but I decided to just go with just two and do one for Azula (which I haven't started on yet). The reason why I have to do Azula's scene is because she needs one in order to progress with the main story. Her scene will also be pretty intricate as well, and I'm afraid it may take more than a week to complete because I'll also have to code/create new assets for her which she doesn't have yet. As of this time, Estelle has one scene with another at 70% complete. Azula's scene has not been started yet.
Something else that I've been working on (and probably spent too much time) is coding a "mission/job" feature. Basically, you'll be able to send girls whose Scarlet Contract control on different jobs at Laureate's suite (unlocked once you buy Silvia). Each girl has a % chance of completing a job (and will let you know if they don't like their chances of success). When you do send a girl on a job, you will not see them for the entire day (meaning, you won't be able to gather affection with them). Despite the screenshot showing only a mere $105, the wages for each job are random (usually $100-$600, iirc). Also, the type of jobs that are available each day will also be random. I think there is still a lot more testing that's needed to see how much $$$ is a good amount, but there's plenty of time for me to worry about that later.
Anyway, thanks again for all of your positive messages and support. It really means a lot to me and keeps me motivated to work on Scarlet Law. There is A LOT more planned in the future, so look forward to it! Until next time!

Yeah, it's still in beta. I need to test it some more to see if I should bump up the money or not. I just want to make it more interesting for players to make money in the game.

Looking great so far! The mission/job feature seems really interesting, especially the random availability bit. It'll give a good excuse to try different jobs with different girls rather than just doing the same jobs every time for efficiency. Looking forward to it!
