One of the main draws of ur account was ur absolutely BONKERS theology, where i was like "wait this is possible?" I was talking to a friend recently, and we were talking about whether we identified as Christian, and how the major commitments of christianity don't resonate with us (particularly the one set of verses that's about all the things we believe about jesus rising from the dead and mary being a virgin and shit. i don't know what that's called in English. I went to Korean church). I think these days, I think of myself as Jesus-influenced?? In the way that a director says they were influenced by kore-eda or wong kar wai. anyway... ur the number one Jesus influencer in my life lol

This line captured my fears precisely “The world gets a little more beautiful once you realize you’re allowed to sincerely engage with religion and ideas, and that you’re not gonna be destroyed by them”. After leaving the faith I had not allowed my self to entertain faith seriously bc I could not shake off all the harm I had done while in faith. I’m not sure I’ll go back but I’m more open to flirting with religion but with boundaries and not in the way I was conditioned to.
