Bacon Macleod

Good catch, was a little lost in the sauce writing these chapters, supposed to have a sentence describing him backing up to get a runner

Muscles thrummed with barely constrained power as weight settled in on his bones, adding to the violence of his might. Porkchop kicked off, racing towards the ogre’s injured knee. -> I'm confused. Wasn't Porkchop already tearing into the ogre's injured knee? Where is there for him to go? Kaius was on the ankle then rotated to the ogre's back.

Yes, but that's countered by the lack of weight: unless you manage to hit something in a way where a relatively immovable object stops them from moving, there's going to be a threshold of toughness where they become practically immune to damage - namely if the energy required to move them is (significantly) less than the energy required to go through their toughness, any hit will just bounce them away while dealing minimal (ie healable) damage to them. This is why it's practically impossible to hit a fly in flight hard enough to kill it, at least not without following through with the strike and squashing them against a wall for example. Blades can counter this effect by concentrating the attack on a smaller surface, but even there, there is the body of the blade, something that starts to spread the energy of the cut to a wider area, once again resulting in surface damage and a yeeted bug.

Refer to Porkchops skill Primal Vitality in ch60 (i have retconned this name, but the skill is identical still)

Cameron C

I dunno that his legs will heal if his spine is damaged.

Andres Ceva

Porkchop could use this downtime while his legs get back to functioning to use his cristal shaping skills. Its a very underused skill he has.

Wolven

Well there is also the fact that you can just squash them wholesale. I don’t think health lets you escape from insta death unless you have a skills for it

Destroyer vs Games

There goes his spine

Bacon Macleod

It’s moderately countered by ‘you can’t heal if your dead’ and ‘fully removed organs/extremities don’t regenerate’ (at least, not without a trained healer or specialised skills) But yeah, hypothetically a very fast wasp with potent poison would be fucking scary (irl and in universe, lol)

Doubledoor

damn, this is closer then I thought it would be! tftc!

Tommy

Oof, I don’t like wasps at the best of times but supercharged wasps? Get thee away satan! 😂😂

WickedlyDesigned

If size is such a detriment to healing by health, shouldn't the reverse also be true? Take an insect, say, an oversized stag beetle or something similar, about 15-20 inches in length. Shouldn't they be pretty unkillable, especially with a couple of levels on them? Especially as a mixture of a hard shell and too little mass to resist knockback means that the actual force they directly take as damage is severely limited compared to anything bigger. Doesn't mean that they would be the best combatants, but they should be extremely hard to put down. Going further, a regular sized wasp with a potent enough poison skill should be pretty much one of the deadliest creatures around...

The Epitome of Eccentricity

RIP Porkchop, we knew you well

Dammit Janit! Curse this cliff... Thanks for writing!
