The good, the bad, and the ugly.
🕑 Added 2017-01-24 06:01:08 +0000 UTC I'll start with the crappy news, then work my way up to the good stuff.Looks like the artist I had been talking with fell through. We had everything all worked out for what I wanted and had settled on a price for the art, then when I was ready to pay them, they changed their mind about doing the project suddenly, siting school work. *Sigh* If it wasn't for the rest of my news, I'd actually be pretty upset about that.
Now, to the better news.
I cranked out a staggering amount of work for Wanton Cove today. There's now about 9k words of content towards the next build. I've got two more loose ends (Nothing major) to tie up, then I can submit a test build to my testers. I hope to wrap that up tomorrow as it shouldn't take more than an hour or two to complete that content.
Also, took a peek over at Inheritance (What can I say, I'm excited to work on it!) and found the source of the bug I had been trying to run down. In its place, I seem to have created a new one. On the up side, I have a pretty good idea of where to start looking when I open that project up again.
I plan to spend a few hours working on projects tomorrow, then I'll be taking Wednesday off to spend time with family. Thursday, I'll jump back into things again.
My current plan is to have Wanton Cove into testing by mid week then start working on Inheritance for the following two weeks while taking care of any Wanton Cove bugs that are reported.

Thank you for the reply. Mechanically, Inheritance will be more involved, but no more complex than Wanton Cove (Basically I plan to have a lot more variation to scenes/content, but the code is going to be very similar mechanically, even simplified in some places). That and half of the code is already written and/or in place. :D I've heard that RenPy is a good system to work with, but to be honest, my artistic talent runs to the extent of stick people (And I can even screw that up) and I have no major plans for graphics in the game at this time. Since I'm working through Patron now, any art I use I want to have commissioned (Dont want to step on any toes if I can help it.) Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I always appreciate a fresh perspective on things.

Woot! Yay for progress!! Also suggestion - if you plan to make inheritance very complex compaired to WC, and you're running into trouble, you may find it useful to check out RenPy before you're too locked into Twine (especially if it will be more graphics heavy as you seem to be leaning towards). Either way, good luck!
