I couldn't get over this movie and it was very emotional to watch it again with you, I really like the story.

I really feel like this film stays with you a bit. I couldn't stop thinking about it for ages after first watching it and still do now. I really think it's a masterpiece. The acting, the writing, the cinematography, the chemistry between 'both' of the partnerships and the music and how that added to it as well. It's just beautiful, harrowing and raw at times, but beautiful.

this movie reminds me so much of i told sunset about you. have you seen that series?

when they were saying goodnight at the end, it related to the "wanan" meaning told in the movie, wo ai ni - i love you. they were saying i love you to each other through the word goodnight. that;s why they kept saying it. imagine loving someone so much that even 30 years later when you see them again, you instantly fall back in love. this movie made me so sad. the actors made it feel so real. my personal theory: Birdy instantly changed the way he acts around Jia Han after he was attacked by Jia Han's friends. I think that's when he realized, like he said 30 years later, that "things wouldn't end well", because of how the world was. he forced himself to be normal and to act like he's not feeling the same. in the beginning, he seemed like the confindent one, but as he started figuring out his feelings he was too scared to stay true to himself.
