I love the opposites attract thing here... they both need each other: Tin needs Charn's cunning and ruthlessness in order to bring down literal monsters, and Charn needs Tin's goodness and integrity in order to soften up and get in touch with his emotions, which I feel like he has buried under a facade of pretending not to care about anything or anyone, but really he is still in pain
