For me, this is still the most beautiful declaration of love I've ever seen in a BL series. I'm not ashamed to say that I have the clip on my phone to watch it once in a while. 😂 Santa is such a great actor! I miss him. I hope we will see him acting again soon. I didn't understand the "I will be gay with you" as "I'm not gay, I only love you". For me it was more like: "It's okay for me to be gay or bi or whatever. It's not important to me as long as I can be with you." 🥰

YES! That's exactly how I understood it as well and I actually loved Cake putting it like that. Eiw has always been very selfconscious about being gay and even though his friends accepted him and there was even another boy who showed interest in him, I feel like he still felt very alone in his queerness and by having Cake show him that, by Eiw's own standards, he'd be labled as gay as well (we obviously don't know if that's truly the right lable for Cake) I think Eiw finally noticed that he wasn't alone and accepted that someone else felt the same way he does.

This is also how I understood this. Not so much "I'm only gay for you" but if by definition loving a boy makes one gay than he is too because he loves Ewi.

I didn't understand the "I m gonna be gay with you" in the same way. To me Cake tried to make à point, first by asking Eiw "What makes him gay" so Eiw would give "examples" amongst them the "I like you (a boy)", then Cake can argue back that he is also part of the "gay team" with Eiw because he also "loves Eiw (a boy)" so by Eiw own definition of being Gay they are the same.

Cake’s monologue in english at the end remain to this day as the best confession scene in a bl EVER. I remember I was in a chokehold for them when the show was airing (and i still am apparently lol)
