Yes! The author of the novel/screenwriter said that she begged the production team to release the first 8 episodes all at once because she knew that’s when all the build up is complete and the series really gets going from there.

I kind of knew Javi wouldn’t like this series. But what’s interesting about this show is that around episode 10 or 11 it starts to feel like a completely different series. Even the last few episodes really have me hooked.
