The Minimalists

We're sorry to hear what you're going through, Katrina, and we appreciate you sharing it with your fellow minimalists as a cautionary tale. Anthony ONeal did a great job of discussing how to avoid similar situations on our "Indebted" episode: https://www.theminimalists.com/podcast/#143/

Hi, Sophia! We're not aware of one, but Dave Ramsey's team may be able to point you in the right direction. You can contact them here: https://www.daveramsey.com/company/contact-us

There was one think i wanted to get some feedback on. Student loans.... i went through a divorce this past year and i have student loans that i got during our marriage that we both lived on for a number of years. We made payment on the loans during our marriage. Now that we are divorced my ex is suing me for all the payments that were made during the marriage. The loans are seen as one persons responsibility so i am required to pay him back for the payments made even though i made the payments from money i made from my job. I am having to pay off my student loans twice. If i had know that was possible i would have possibly paid them first and had an agreement made before hard or just never took out the loans to support both of us for those years. Just something to consider for those looking at paying them off last. You are paying interest for all these years and may have to pay the principal off twice.
