Thank you so much for this episode. I have subsequently bought Cal's book and although I'm only a quarter through it, I'm starting to implement some personal digital minimalism. It sounds rediculous but this was the 'excuse' I needed to free myself from the anxiety and fake responsibility social media has given my personal and business life.

Thanks so much guys! Fantastic and timely episode - just what I needed as I have been feeling a good bit of tech fatigue lately. And thank you for taking my question about the photos! I love the idea of a scanning party but the problem is I don't have any printed photos, I have boxes full of negatives that need developing and only a handful of companies develop the kind of film I have. So ... I wanted to share my update - I actually took a step toward getting some of these digitally developed and I found that I could use the same concept behind the packing party to choose only the pictures I really wanted to see. The company records all of the negatives that you send them, they send you an email to tell you what's "in your cart" - I then went through and read the labels of each cartridge to choose only the ones I truly wanted to see and keep, and those are the ones I paid to get developed. Once they developed the film, I was even able to go in and view them and download only the ones I wanted. It was worth every penny - I had so much fun looking through the digital pics and sharing them instantly with friends for a good throwback.
