Fascinating discussion. For years now (before I identified as a minimalist ;) I would get depressed whenever I walked into an inside mall. I never really knew why. I did buy clothes but I bought them at small local boutiques. I only go to a mall when I need to go to an Apple store. It still gives me the blues when I walk through a mall.
