I really liked the article "Do Smartphones Make Us Dumber" because I didn't think about how just having the black screen in view is a trigger. One big problem I see is phones sitting by you at work. I wonder how much time is spent on their phone vs working? At my job in the hospital, when anyone is sitting at the nurses station they are either charting, on their phones, or trying to do both at the same time. Our manager and charge nurses are trying to think of a way to address the problem respectfully and not treat them like children.

i thought this was an interesting episode and agree that the social dilemma was a well done movie, didn't really offer anything new, and lacked alternative perspectives. also, since jess says she wants her ideas tested by other people: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/18/style/jordan-peterson-12-rules-for-life.html
