Ryan dropped a powerful message in this episode, when he said that most electronic devices are made by slaves. I've heard this mentioned by him in a few other episodes, but I can't remember if they actually talked about this in detail. Now, I know this is not a complete and final statement, and he probably meant that somewhere in the supply chain there was either some sort of child labor involved, or some type of slave labor, but wether or not people take this literally, it does seem like the type of statement that could be unpacked at least partially in an episode, since it might give an extra reason to people to delay upgrading as much as possible. Would love to know if this was in fact discussed at some point and I missed it, as I would go back and re-listen to that episode. Thank you.
