Three things I want to comment on that this episode addresses: (1) My most recent regretful purchase was a pair of Van tennis shoes. I have a small enough foot, I can wear a kid's size shoe. I tried on this pair that I really liked that cost $35 in a 3 1/2 (it was a little snug) so I bought the size 4. When they went to ring them up, the size I bought (because I guess it was a "youth" size) was $50. I bought them because I didn't want to back out on price. I thankfully regained my senses and returned the shoes the next day. (2) I follow a website called "Buy Me Once." It highlights products that are made to last, and even pass down. I just discovered this website a year or so ago, so I have not purchased anything from the companies they highlight yet, but it may be of value to people to check out items. (3) Josh's story about driving on the bridge, in debt, and considering just driving over the side resonated with me. A friend I knew through a relative committed suicide a couple of years ago. The main reason was money/finances. It was such a tragic and senseless loss...
