I can’t hurry reading something intriguing to me. There really is something so transcendent about taking time in reading to savor the words, the phrases, and the ideas of another soul. Even the beauty of the characters on the page can be art on its own. I find the more I’m engaged in what I’m reading the slower I read and will often reread to enjoy the journey. 🕊️💜🕯️

Maybe it’s a weird thing to say, but Joshua saying that he’s a slow reader really made my day. It feels rare for someone who loves books so much to say they are slow at reading. At least I have always been surrounded by book lovers who are extremely fast readers and my slow reading speed (and extreme sleepiness while reading) have always made me so self-conscious. Great episode as always. Many many things to think about.
