MAXIMS
There are no refunds for misspent time.
Discontent arises when our values are misaligned with our actions.
Our devices become distractions when they aren’t used deliberately.
What if your weakness is actually your superpower?
Unlearning is just as important as learning.
Just as forced commitment is not an indication of devotion, and forced restraint is not a marker of self-discipline, forced simplicity is not a demonstration of minimalism.
When you make minimalism all or nothing, it’s all for nothing.
Living simply involves intention, not deprivation.

I found the suggestion to use thredup.com from Malabama to be very helpful. The time and gas spent driving to the consignment store was not worth the few dollars I was getting. It’s been eye opening how little I get for clothes and art I bought at art festivals, which I spent a couple hundred dollars (if not more) framing. It really does make me cautious and conscious on purchases going forward.

This was another great episode. It was educational and entertaining. My favorite part was when Josh said if you don't have your health you don't have anything.
