Hi everyone!
I’m super excited to announce that NBMD v0.1.0 is now live!
I’m especially happy with how the story turned out in this version. I hope you enjoy it, and I’d love to hear your feedback!
Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s new:
🎨 Character Sprite Overhaul
In NBMF, I originally wanted to pair every expression with a different pose—but I later realized this caused inconsistency. Large pose shifts or visual distance changes made the visuals feel awkward, especially in nude scenes or ones emphasizing body parts.
So in NBMD, most characters now use 3/4-body sprites. Poses are also kept consistent within each outfit—except for expressive characters like Fletcher, who naturally has more variations.
🧠 Narrative Perspective
NBMD now uses a dual-POV system: Eric and Grace.
This makes the storytelling more flexible, and more importantly, choices made during Grace’s scenes will now influence future narrative branches. This is a key design element going forward.
🕰 Story Pacing & Chapter Length
You may notice the chapters feel longer. That’s intentional—NBMD features a slower, more emotionally driven pace, focusing on psychology and relationship tension.
For those who prefer faster progress, there is a Fast NTR route, but even that will move more slowly than NBMF.
To clarify: this isn’t a reaction to criticism—NBMF and NBMD were always meant to be stylistically different.
If we imagine a spectrum from “porn-style delivery” to “narrative-driven adult visual novels,” NBMF leans toward the former, while NBMD aims more toward the latter.
I’m currently planning for around 10 to 15 chapters in total.
🧩 Choices & Branching
NBMD is evolving into a branching narrative system.
In this release, your choices affect dialogues and character stats, while the major narrative routes will start branching from v0.3.0.
Current planned routes include:
Fast NTR
Slow NTR
NTS
NTS to NTR
These are controlled by three key variables:
eric_sensitivity: Eric’s awareness of what's happening around him, including Grace’s behavior and Fletcher’s intent.
eric_cuckness: His arousal when witnessing or imagining his wife with another man.
grace_corruption: The strength of Grace’s desire and how blurred her view of marital boundaries becomes.
Sample logic looks like this:

These values shift based on your choices and will unlock future story paths.

I put extra effort this time into Grace’s solo animations, trying to capture more of her introspective moments. Even though this is a visual novel, I believe small movements can make the character feel more alive and expressive.

I want to give special thanks to invic, who suggested that Fletcher looked a bit too young.
At the time, I didn’t quite feel that way—after all, fitness can keep people youthful—and I didn’t really have a solid way to adjust the face.
But once I started trying some edits, I found myself agreeing more and more. He really did look young. 😅
Then, the other day, I suddenly came up with a neat little trick to revise his face more deeply and naturally.
So again, big thanks to invic—that suggestion really helped improve the game!

我非常興奮地宣布，NBMD v0.1.0 正式上線啦！
這次我對劇情特別滿意，真的希望你們會喜歡，也很期待聽到你們的想法與回饋！
這次的版本更新包含幾個重要的改動，我來簡單介紹一下：
🎨 角色立繪調整
在早期製作 NBMF 的時候，我曾經希望每個角色的表情都能搭配不同的動作。但後來發現，動作幅度太大或距離鏡頭變化太多時會讓畫面顯得突兀。尤其是裸體或強調特定部位的畫面，更需要使用 3/4 身來呈現，而有些角色仍是半身就會看起來不協調（我自己覺得蠻明顯的XD）。
因此這次 NBMD 中，我大多改用 3/4 身立繪，同一套服裝也盡量保持一致動作。當然也會因應角色性格調整，比如 Fletcher 就會有比較豐富的肢體語言。
🧠 敘事視角調整
從這一版開始，故事改為使用 雙視角敘事：Eric 與 Grace。
我發現這樣不但能讓劇情更靈活，也能讓玩家在 Grace 視角時的選擇真實影響未來劇情分支。這個設計會成為後續章節的重要核心。
🕰 劇情步調與章節長度
你可能會發現這次的章節比以前長了一些。這是因為 NBMD 採用了節奏較慢的敘事風格，希望更深入角色心理與關係張力。
當然，如果你偏好快速展開劇情，可以選擇 Fast NTR 路線（不過就算如此，節奏也會比 NBMF 慢一些）。
我想特別說明的是，這樣的調整不是為了回應批評，而是因為 NBMF 和 NBMD 在我一開始的設計上本來就是兩種風格：
如果把成人作品想成一條光譜，從「A片式內容」到「視覺小說式成人遊戲」，那麼 NBMF 是偏向前者，而 NBMD 則更靠近後者。
目前預計整體遊戲會有 10 到 15 個章節。
🧩 選項與分支設計
NBMD 將導入更具系統性的分支機制。本次版本中的選項會影響當下對話與角色屬性，但真正明確分歧的劇情走向預計將從 v0.3.0 起開始展開。
目前規劃的主要路線包括：

這次動畫部分我有嘗試更多動態的方式來捕捉 Grace 的情緒與內心，特別是在她獨處的時候。雖然是靜態遊戲，但我希望這些微妙的動畫能讓角色更「活」起來。

這邊我特別想感謝會員 invic 提出的建議。他指出 Fletcher 看起來太年輕了。
當時我其實沒有特別覺得他太年輕，因為運動會讓人看起來比較年輕，再加上我當時也沒有太好的方法可以修臉型。
但後來我開始試著修改臉部的時候，越看越覺得他真的看起來偏年輕 XD。
然後某天我突然想到一個方法，終於能比較徹底地改出一個我自己也更滿意的臉型了！
真的非常感謝這個建議，也讓 Fletcher 更符合他在故事中的定位！
💬Dev Note: Character Consistency & Delay
One thing I really want to share—I put way, way, WAY more effort into keeping the character consistency in NBMD compared to NBMF.
Originally, on Monday, I thought “This is almost done, just a few finishing touches,” and I even hoped to release by Wednesday.
Well… here we are now. 😅
The funny part is: all the sprites were technically finished. But I kept looking at them and thinking “Something’s not quite right.”
So I kept remaking and refining until I felt everything matched better—because I want the characters to feel consistent and believable across all scenes and outfits.
If you notice anything that feels off, awkward, or just not working for you—please let me know!
Your feedback really helps shape future updates and makes the game better for everyone.
💬 製作心路 & 角色一致性
這次在 NBMD 上，我真的在「角色一致性」方面花了比 NBMF 多非常非常非常多的心力。
原本我週一的時候心想「啊，應該快做完了吧？剩一點點，趕快收尾」，還盤算著週三就能發佈。
結果……一路修到現在。😂
雖然立繪早就都做完了，但我總是覺得有些看起來哪裡不對、哪裡不夠協調，最後乾脆就是重做再重做。
因為我真的希望每個角色在不同情境下的表現都是一致而有說服力的。
所以如果你們在遊戲中有任何覺得不協調、不自然或不喜歡的地方，非常歡迎留言告訴我！
你們的意見真的會直接影響我下一次改進的方向，也讓我能持續優化整體品質。

Choice can be good, but it can also lead to frustration. If there are too many choices with unclear consequences, I'm forced to replay the game over and over again to try and see if I missed something. I rather know the consequences of my choices ahead of time (colour code them, maybe even add a toggle that'll tell me what this choice means) that way I can relax and enjoy the story without thinking I'll miss something or pick something with a consequence I don't want/ don't want to see. I don't even know if the choices here had consequences, but instead of enjoying the story, I'm thinking about that and it affects ennoyment. Curious to see where you go from here.
