🕑 Added 2024-08-31 01:04:37 +0000 UTCAs many of you know, Patreon will force creators on the platform to switch to subscriptions. Which in turn will screw a lot of creators (like myself) who are in the 'charge per creation' setting on their Patreon page. I have to change all my tiers by next August to reflect the amount that I'm currently making. I upload Rascals weekly that's 4-5 times a month currently that gets charged for example:
$3 tier = $12 a month ($15 if we get an extra upload day )
$5 tier= $20 a month ($25 if we get an extra upload day )
$10 tier = $40 a month ($50 if we get an extra upload day )
$25 tier = $100 a month ($125 if we get an extra upload day )
$90tier = $360 a month ($450 if we get an extra upload day )
The problem I'm currently facing is how will this look to new faces that may be interested in supporting my works if they now see how the new tiers will look.
Tier 1 - $15 a month
Tier 2 - $25 a month
Tier 3 - $50 a month
Tier 4 - $ 125 a month
Tier 5 - $ 410 a month
I already thought about offering more rewards to hopefully make it worth it like doing a 1 character sketch only stream maybe on Tuesdays (anything goes) that will be open to Five or six winners also the return of Rascals on the spot that was already in the works right before Gumroad screwed most artists over ( thanks Gumroad -_- ) What Do you guys think? Do you have any suggestions for tier rewards?

Subscribestar, Fanbox, and Itch.io all the way! Also I'd love to see more r.o.t.s and maybe more funny/cute/sexy scenes from characters' pasts, like we've gotten with Reiko and Jazmin? Maybe regular short comics that focus on other characters, especially lewd ones, I want more Revy, Ruby, Talon, Jazmin, Shiro, Scarlet, Olga, Amanda, Jahida, Jessica, Hamada... for example!

I would suggest having more and more perks for every tier but maybe have every tier have early access to comic pages. I want to support ya man, and I don’t fault ya for the prices you’re naming. You need to make money. But we only have so much to give. I’ll be honest, to keep the same tier would be way more than all my other monthly patreon payments combined.

What did Gumroad do? This is sounding very similar to circumstances that often affect everyone that I often witnessed.

I'm not sure the tier 5 level will really be able to work as a commission tier since you may eventually get 4 different people being charged at 4 different points. It'll be quite a bit to keep track of. However keeping the Thursday streams as for those patrons and having them all submit the Wednesday or Tuesday before could work out. Double check that they are in the tier and doing a single picture that week for them. It does put an burden on that patron to get their worth out before they get charged again but would work well for you with minimal extra work. ---- As far as other tiers, it would be nice to be able to submit questions as a particular tier for Rascals on the spot. I could see a second free art stream being a little bit of a draw but for patrons but I could easily see that being more as a grab at free art by non-patrons rather than new people coming to support to keep said extra stream going. I'm sorry that I'm not coming up with anything new. The good news at least is you can keep your current model most likely until next year for now at least.

And I also partially feel like I owe you a higher tier because I think MAYBE I showed some people your work before it was out. And i still feel awful. I do things without thinking. I don’t like blaming my adhd…
