Why isn't there an equivalent of and emergency department for mental health issues? Is it only because of historical stigma? What are practical issues with implementing something like this?

As a nonbinary person looking to get gender affirming care, I've experienced doctors who have openly tried to stop me from transitioning. I've heard it said both on the show and by other doctors that there are those who purposely put themselves into a position to do just that. So my question is, as a doctor and a trans man, have you ever interaction with those types of doctors personally, and what, in your opinion is influencing them to ignore the science they've studied?
