Removing the border and background makes more work (text color changes for contrast) but helps immensely with the look. Great change.

I agree with this. There's something to be said for figuring things out from the context clues, your own knowledge, and/or your ability to do research.

Dissenting voice here -- I like trying to figure out exactly who everyone is over the course of a few viewings -- like the delight when I first realized that Sisyphus was Sisyphus. Laika was Laika.

I think if the text was in a floating box that had a bit of motion, or faded in and out with a wiggle as the character spoke, might fit the style better. but i like the idea.

I prefer the location on screen for sure. That way I can check there if I don’t recognize a character but focus on the interviews without getting distracted if I’m up to speed.

I was ok with the groovy font. But the more conventional font seems well more conventional for ironic subtitles. you want the attention on the content not the font so this is an improvement.

I like them. May I suggest that you have different titles for the same character (perhaps, 5 for each one) that you could randomly or something similar?

Actually yeah! Much better except for the white tiny words, it gets lost in the background so its a bit hard to read. But I like the fonts and transition effect. More aesthetic and less on ur face.
