Changes to oil
🕑 Added 2020-10-03 17:52:43 +0000 UTCWe are developing and finishing a new way to make alternative oil more rewarding and improving the game ore generation. Once finished, this new system will plot just one kind of oil on map. You must put the oil-derrick or tar extractor over it and feed with drilling fluid to "excavate" until you find your oil/tar/natural gas vein. its random such as in nature. Once the excavation is complete, your building will be changed to a functional one and the map oil will be turned into the one you´re looking for (for example: if you wanna use a tier 2 oil derrick, plot a mk02 oil derrick over it and feed drilling fluid 2).

Agreed. Would feel better to not waste resources just because you start low. Similar, when you used a small derrik, you should get a depleted patch that can be reactivated with a bigger derrick, not lose the patch completely, IMHO. Is something like that feasible?
I'd love to see a system where a used-up well that was started with a lower level of drilling fluid could be made active again with a higher tier of fluid (much like real-world oil wells can be fracked for additional ouput)

No...as the original settings, you need to find other oil wells.
Can I start with an MK1 and upgrade to MK2 later?
