I live a few towns away from Portland, Maine. Pretty cool stories in here, guys. I was the archivist for my local college for a while, and I've seen quite a bit about the past in many different forms, including road maps, personal letters , ledgers, postcards and trolley tallies just to name a few. My hometown of Sanford was a major bootlegging town, and even some public officials were running their own slave and alcohol trades behind closed doors. History is always my favorite subject, and I suppose that might be because I grew up in a place where I discovered more and more about it every day.

Computer Problem Solution. I manage a very complex computer system for work and personal use. I know the bitch of things when having to reinstall everything. The solution is this: First use Multiple Partitions, The OS and all programs with their setting should be one partion (~250GB), DATA should be kept on additional partions, these can be on the same HD or others. When your OS and programs for Audio/Video etc. are set up and configured use DriveImage XML and create and image of your OS partition. Then when anything goes tits up there is no need for trouble shooting. In about 30 minutes the entire OS with all programs can be written fresh with a few clicks all in it's working order. This is the GOD fix for anything software. On the hardware side, if the HD goes bad, just replace and use the XML image to write the new one. A drive XML is basically an iso of a HD. On some of my most critical systems I actually keep an exact copy of the OS drive in the box. If the OS drive fails just open the box and swap the cable, no down time! With images you don't want to waste space imaging blank space so that's why I use 250GB, this also makes it cheaper to have actual physical drives ready to swap cable in the box. This will end 12+hr rebuilds with all software and hardware MB/HD replacements etc!
