If you find the time you should watch Joe Rogans podcast with Twitter CEO. Massively disliked by the audience, but i didn't really find anything wrong with it. We do get some first hand insight on how social media sites handle their users - and its not a guy picking and choosing, its all automatic - which does explain some weird outcomes. Also people still whine about Alex Jones getting banned. In my opinion it was the right move. If inciting violence against the parents of Sandy Hook victims (with actual real life consequences) isn't enough to get a ban, then nothing is.
