Scotty, you underestimate how genuinely dumb the average moviegoer is in the US. Adam Sandler is popular and makes money because that's the level the majority of people in this country are on. I work a blue collar job in VERMONT and my coworkers are mostly a bunch of Trump-loving, fox news-listening, family guy joke-telling, cheap beer-drinking, god-fearing, Adam Sandler-watching near mental invalids, and they represent the majority. Regarding the conversation of service staff serving people who promote violence against groups they are a part of: the reality is that service industry workers do it all the time and often do not know it. In my experience, service staff don't usually deny service unless they are actually being threatened in that moment.
