I'm so glad you guys mentioned Hot Shots! I especially love Part Deux. One really interesting thing about Shia's father is that he used to go around to comedy clubs with a group of 20 year olds who functioned as his "retard posse." I heard this from one of the greatest podcasts ever, Boner City USA. One episode they talk about Shia's Dad going on stage at the Comedy Store in LA (where the podcast hosts used to work). The hosts ripped on him using the side mics while he did his set, and even talked shit about how terrible Shia was. They didnt notice until the set was almost over, but they saw Shia sitting in the audience with his baseball cap pulled way down. I'm sure he was embarrassed of his retarded dad and getting roasted by two comedians on stage as well.
