I'll never have words to describe how much of a champion my own mother is.... Worked full-time as a teacher too (public school, bleugh) in a different town, no less.... took care of me totally alone, lost her own dad and brother, always kept house clean, kept lawn mowed, paid the bills, did all the paperwork and STILL cooked home-cooked meals. She had her own mental health problems (school system SUCKS for teachers....) but she is such a champion.... Plus she is always kind to animals. She taught me so much. I would never record a cheap-ass video at her mausoleam :(

I always saw Boogie as a sort of oddball internet success story. A nice guy that found a niche for himself from his one funny character. Ride the horse that brought you- and all that. His content was never my cup of ramen noodles, but to each his own, I figure. But holy shit. He's just a giant grifting weirdo, too. By the way, the military in it's effort to deal with its own suicide epidemic over the years has released lots of training on how to deal with suicidal thoughts, and psychological abuse. A marine corps memo made a point of informing its members that repeated threats of suicide are, in fact, a form of psychological abuse. So, yeah. Just wow.

I was really a fan of boogie since be started youtube but on my own I realized this "give me money and atention" attitude. This is extremely evident in his twitch streams and its disgusting. Thanks Dff for confirming this and making me realize I'm not the only one he fooled.

I've always wondered why his content fell off for me and it wasn't until you guys highlighted all of this that I think I know the reason why now. He honestly should have taken the route as a journalist for IGN or some kind of video game media outlet. What Paul mentioned about Boogie's eyes in the "mom" video seemed especially astute to me. Watching Boogie put together emotional words and sob while having such neutral eyes betrayed his whole performance. Watch any movie with a lot of closeup shots. Actors know that their faces have to say the right things to be convincing. They know what their eyes, mouth and everything else need to be doing for certain shots, at least, if you have competent actors.

I’m definitely an asshole but I’m an honest asshole. If someone is a malignant, skeletal freak pretending to be a human being, I treat them that way and I don’t delude myself into thinking that what I’m doing is nice or that I deserve a blowjob from Scarlett Johansson simply because I’m male. I don’t hide the fact that I’m an asshole, even on dating sites, I don’t cloak it in flowery words, I don’t pretend to be someone I’m not, I don’t make excuses or justifications. With me, what you see really is what you get. If I end up with someone, great. If I die alone, great. I’m happiest when I’m working on my writing and I’d rather end up alone than with someone who’s not right for me. I have basic physical standards, I won’t lie, but my standards are much higher for personality and even higher than that when it comes to intelligence, philosophy and worldview. I won’t lie, I wouldn’t turn down an air-headed supermodel for a one-night-stand but that’s where it would end. Hookups don’t interest me in general. Societal definitions of relationship roles don’t interest me either. I’m not working my ass off while someone else sits at home and I don’t expect anyone to do that for me. My ideal woman is someone who will sit on the couch with me while we laugh at morons/weirdos on the internet. I’m not a nice guy and I don’t want a nice girl. I’d like someone just as misanthropic, cynical, crass, unconventional, batshit crazy and emotionally damaged as I am. If I get that, I’m happy. If I don’t, I’m equally happy being alone. These dudes have three main problems. Number one: They can’t separate fantasy from reality. I guarantee that every one of these dudes genuinely believes that porn is a realistic depiction of sex. They think that gamer girls are flawlessly beautiful when I can tell you from experience, a gamer girl generally plays video games in a animal-themed onesie with her hair all messed up and no make-up while she screams at the twelve/year-old who keeps stealing her kills. I’ve dated gamer girls and that’s generally the type of girls they are. These guys probably believe that their sister’s friend is going screw them out if the blue, they probably believe that twin sisters are secret lesbian lovers, they probably believe that if they threaten a girl with nude photos, she’ll sleep with them rather than call the police. These dudes don’t live in the real world. That’s problem one. Problem two is they think that being nice is a job. They think that being nice will get them a reward, and they think that they’re entitled to that reward. When they stop and help a pretty girl on the side of the road, they think that if they help the girl then she’ll sleep with them. That isn’t being nice, that’s being deceitful, opportunistic and manipulative. The final issue is that they’re unhappy with themselves. They think that a relationship will make them happy and erase the void inside them. It won’t. Trust me, I know. They’ll never find a girlfriend if they don’t take some time to be happy by themselves and work on improving their lives on their own. They need to be happy being alone before they get into a relationship. All of the problems these dudes face are problems that they created and continue to fuel. I feel a bit sorry for them. They’re probably miserable. Their lives probably suck and I’d feel more pity for them if they didn’t inflict their misery upon others. I used to be miserable too. I stopped being miserably by being honest with myself/others and simply living life instead of trying to control it. Along the way, I learned that I don’t need other people to justify my existence. I’m happy just being me. Sorry for the essay, I often use videos that interest me as inspiration/sounding boards for ideas that turn into videos or parts of me book. It’s a useful tool.
