Also the overpopulation of the planet is not the problem, there are no evidence that killing people (i know you didn't say this but just saying the ultimate solution according to this theory) will magically save the planet resources. Who holds the resources is the problem and how these resources are managed is the problem, thus capitalism. What you describe as capitalism on a leash is what social democracy is saying and we all know this has failed. As far as the higher taxes issue goes, I think we should hold the government more accountable with the money it already takes vs. taxing any group more. There's so much government waste that could be cut and tax dollars saved.

This might of been my favorite episode of Flash Fried. I would still want kids even if the planet is over populated. I know its wrong. It's not rational. But if I ever got married and truly loved my wife. I would want us to settle down and raise a family. I would try to make my kids the type of future adults that can make a difference to addressing all the future problems and present.

I don't know if eugenics is even truly a bad concept. It seems to mostly have gotten a bad rap because controversial people were supporters of it. It does conjure up the idea of selective outcasting or sterilizing, at least to me somewhat. Then again is sterilization even bad either? Peoole are so greedy for their own little copies to be born. I think you can have a family even if the child is very different from you. They are people. What if there were people with exceptional genes that donated, and the populace could either adopt or implant? I have heard the arguement that only the wealthy would be able to pay to select genes for their children thus creating a greater divide in society. As a whole though it seems good. Perhaps if there was a way to make it more available... It just seems worth a try if you could possibly keep people from being born with a plethora of diseases and disorders! Better for their life and ours. Then perhaps we can strive to thrive after that point; make people born with more enduring bodies and minds.

I agree that there's nothing wrong with wealth. If people earn it by working hard or producing something of value, great. But there's a big difference between being a better worker/producer and a lying, cheating, stealing scammer. And there's also a big difference between being a rich person and being a billionaire. Like TJ said, they don't need to be obscenely super rich, being rich should be reward enough. These aren't regular rich people. They're sociopathic leeches. Their greed will never be satisfied. That defending the rich status quo shit is the reason I still dislike conservatives way more than obnoxious smarmy liberals.
