It's because in a free market corps are bound to gain too much power. Here is the thing; in socialism the government has too much power but in capitalism the corps have too much power. It's bound to pull one way or another; in a system where government bodies can GIVE power to corps you then deal with that issue but just as much they can take away with power. The REAL problem comes into play when you have companies committing treason, not going to name any names but we already know who. If the corp thinks it's more profitable to go against the gov and help others for the sake of profit they will. Now government bodies will abuse their power as well and go the other way as well in socialism and over regulate for big companies but the gov still has WAY more power than the companies. Just in general the gov should have a moderate amount of spending and should be limited in it's spending; likewise we could try to figure out a better deadlock system to stop the government from giving too much power to one branch or body of people from another. It's a complicated mess.

We live in a heavily regulated late stage MIXED economy. How is that capitalism's fault that we allow these people to rig the market, then say "capitalism is at fault" when that has nothing to do with capitalism, and everything to do with lobbying and corruption? If it's rigged, by definition its not a free market. If anything we need to get government out of trade, rather than more. I don't give a shit if Amazon doesn't pay more taxes. Everyone should be paying less fucking taxes, because the government shouldn't have as many ventures as it does.
