Never understood the hate of the remake. Jason was a badass, there were fun kills, and there was a lot of tits and sex. That's all I want from a Friday movie. People complain about the acting etc but I don't think it was any worse than the originals. No Friday movie is high art.

Unpopular opinion. As a horror movie, The Evil Dead remake is loads better than the evil dead sequels which border on stupid and end with completely goofy. The Evil Dead remake is a quality horror movie and so far the only horror movie remake that doesn't suck balls. Even if it's pretty much just a modernized rehash of the first one, you can tell there was some effort put behind it, and it has moments in it that are actually startling and fucked up. The acting's not the best, but who honestly watches most horror movies for the acting. Horror movie acting is generally balls unless some huge names are behind it.

An idea for a new Jason movie: Crystal lake gets excavated for oil and minerals and in the process jason and or his mom's bones are found and its brought to the nearest town or city. then in the morgue jasons body reanimates unattended and go's on a killing spree in the city/town. maybe at the end when he is defeated his body floats down river or in the ocean to terrorize a different part of the country in another movie.

There’s nothing wrong with TJ using 10lb weights, although really he should focus on walking more, I guess. You really think TJ’s old/overweight ass should be doing starting strength? Lol — no. He will hurt himself and think of his big body trying to contort for the barbell squats, deadlifts, rows, etc. TJ should do like little light machine lifting , stretching/physical therapy, and he should do cardio.
