I never said that I'm not wearing a mask, that I'm not social distancing, and that I don't believe COVID is a serious issue. I agree with all of those claims and I'm taking all of those precautions. My point for bring all of this up, is that it has actually brought me into contact with some of the people in my university who are working on COVID 19 as a public health issue. For instance, the professor who is supervising my independent study is also working on COVID-19. Last week the university actually sent out a newsletter to my professor and everyone else working on the COVID epidemic and it explicitly addressed the issue of the politics of COVID. Obviously my school is still encouraging masks and hand-washing and other measures, etc., but the newsletter also encouraged our faculty to be mindful of the politics surrounding COVID, because when you turn a public health issue into a politicized partisan debate you actually encourage a lot of people to forego wearing their mask in order to make a political statement. By the way, their is actually a name for that kind of phenomenon: it's called a "perverse incentive", and you would probably be familiar with the concept if you weren't an uneducated, scientifically illiterate loser. Just because you're so retarded I'll state it one final time: I agree that COVID is a serious public health issue. I agree that we should wear masks and practice social distancing. My university and every other university in the world also says that we should wear masks and practice social distancing. At the same time, it's also true that COVID is not as deadly as we initially thought. Finally, it's also true that politicizing an issue is not the way win over adherents to your side of the debate. All of these things can be true at the same time. Tl;dr I support masks and I support social distancing an I never said otherwise, all I did was jokingly make fun of DFF for literally not leaving their house for 3 months. You know, it IS possible to simply enjoy the guys' dynamic regardless of what topic they're covering without being a simpering dolt; and honestly, like, what do you want? For every single episode to be educational content? Because I will put good money down on that shit getting tired after like two months. If not only for the fact that those episodes take longer, which would slow down the release schedule, then for the fact that at some point, we all have a tolerance for useless trivial information where our brains just start dumping memories wholesale.

I miss the deep dives into interesting topics- prohibition, Jeffrey Dahmer, Top 10 movie villains, psychadelics. Those are the types of episodes where I feel like I learn something.
