The pain is real when projects get deleted. Power goes out at my house all the time for no reason. I've had all kinds of saves on games corrupted, stuff on the computer, etc. I'm a nervous file-saver now. Just every 15 to 30 minutes saving everything. Then games I quicksave even more.

I hate to be that guy but may I suggest getting an Uninterruptible Power Supply? They supply enough battery backup power to your computer for long enough for you to make a proper shutdown(preventing file corruption).
